Co-teaching
Co-teaching is when a general education teacher and a special education teacher share the same classroom, planning and delivering lessons together so that students with disabilities can access the regular curriculum while getting the specialised support they need.
This activity is built around a CEC TV interview with Dr. Marilyn Friend, a leading expert on co-teaching, who discusses the challenges (administrator understanding, planning time, defining each teacher's role) and the strategies that make co-teaching actually work.
