The lesson: MIGHTLa leçon : MIGHT
🎲 MIGHT = it's possible (but not sure)
He might come.
Il se pourrait qu'il vienne. / Il viendra peut-être.
He might not come.
MIGHT + base verbale : pas de s (he might comes), pas de to (might to come), pas de do (he doesn't might).
Might ressemble à may, avec une possibilité un peu plus faible : « il se pourrait que… ».
📋 MIGHT + obligation
He might must insist.
He might have to insist.
Il se pourrait qu'il doive insister. Deux modaux ne peuvent pas se suivre : must devient have to.
Attention : might have to (pas has) — jamais de s après might.
You might not have to wait.
💪 MIGHT + capacité
He might can come.
He might be able to come.
Il se pourrait qu'il puisse venir. can devient be able to.
We might not be able to come.
➕ MIGHT + obligation + capacité
He might must can do it.
He might have to be able to do it.
L'ordre : might → have to → be able to → verbe.
Maybe they are tired. = They might be tired. Mais they maybe tired !
