After year 10, 14 or 15 years old, you can prepare a National Vocational Qualification, which corresponds to the French C.A.P. It takes two years.
You can study in a vocational high school. You go to school, and you do internships in restaurants.
Or you can be an apprentice: you study at a training centre and you work in a restaurant. You earn a salary!
To become an apprentice, you have to find an employer. You apply for a job: you write a CV and a cover letter.
At the end, you have to pass an exam: the C.A.P.
Then, you can start working, or you can go on studying: a "Bac Pro" or a "Brevet Professionnel".
