My name is Emma. I'm 30 now, but I want to tell you about something that happened when I was 14. At that time, I loved music and I posted videos of me singing on social media. At first, people wrote nice comments. Then, one day, a girl from my class shared one of my videos in a group chat. Everyone laughed at me. They wrote mean messages under my photos. They called me a show-off, and said my voice was horrible. Someone created a fake account with my name and posted stupid things. I received messages every night, even at 2 a.m. I stopped eating at lunch and I didn't want to go to school anymore. I felt very alone. One day, I finally showed the messages to my mum. We talked to my teacher and the school helped me. After that, I blocked the bad accounts and I only talked to my real friends online. Today, I still sing, because I love it. So remember: if someone hurts you online, tell an adult. You are not alone.
